Graffiti Resistance Assessment of the Cromadex System

An independent graffiti resistance assessment was carried out, evaluating the performance of the Cromadex system against commonly found graffiti marks and chemical removers. Based on the effectiveness of the product and the extent of damage to the surface area, an overall performance rating was allocated.

Eight graffiti marks were applied, left to sit for 72 hours and a total of 14 cycles was carried out. The overall performance scores for the Cromadex system are as follows:

The assessment for this application was carried out with reference to specific acceptability criteria currently used within the rail industry.

The criterion of acceptability was that the overall graffiti removal score should be greater than 13 -  i.e.  Very Good or Excellent.

From the results obtained, it was concluded that the paint coating system assessed met the requirements of the graffiti removal efficiency test.
