Interpon D Goes Green and Yellow
A radical new Technology Centre is helping to light the skyline of Nottingham.
Castle College’s Highfields Automotive and Engineering Training Centre at Nottingham Science Park is now based at this unique building.
Part of the construction earlier this year included the use of Interpon Powder Coatings. Interpon D1036 was specified on the exterior panels of the building, in green and two shades of yellow.
Manufactured by Kingspan Ltd, the insulated architectural wall panels have an ECOsafe, environmentally sustainable core and achieve an A+ rating according to the Green Guide to Specification.
The 6,600m² building is being shared by Castle College and Toyota, who aim to educate a wide range of people including industry professionals and school children. The distinctive central Hub houses the reception area, cafe and library, and two other wings contain car parking, training rooms and workshops.
AkzoNobel Powder Coatings range of architectural powders, which includes Interpon D1036, provide superior exterior durability and colour retention and conforms to the requirements of all the major European architectural finishing standards.
