International Protective Coating’s range of peelable coatings have been used by Cromadex Birmingham’s customer Yamazaki Mazak UK LTD to coat their machine tools that are supplied to the metal cutting industry, including the McLaren F1 racing team.

Interseal® 121 is a peelable, water-based, temporary coating that can be applied over a wide range of coated substrates to offer protection. It dries to form a tough layer that protects against damage such as dust, oil and overspray. It can also provide a degree of resistance to abrasion and scuffing, and is peeled off easily at a wide range of temperatures.

Yamazaki Mazak UK LTD, based in Worcester
have used the new coating to provide protection to their coated products. Prone to damage during assembly, some items were having to be touched up before being despatched to customers. Wayne Price of Yamazaki explains, “Since using Interseal® 121 as a form of protection, amendments to our finished work have been reduced by over 90%, minimising the need for coating maintenance.”
