Interpon PZ Primer

Interpon PZ Primer is an epoxy powder coating rich in zinc developed to enhance the corrosion protection of steel substrates. Interpon PZ is recommended as part of a two coat system where Interpon TC, Interpon 610, Interpon 810, Interpon EC and Interpon D range are the preferred powder topcoats.

Together, Interpon PZ Primer and the preferred Interpon powder topcoat is a system called the Interpon PZ System that provides excellent anti-corrosion protection for products in harsh environments.

Application

Interpon PZ Primer is recommended for corona application. The powder fluidises as a conventional powder and sprays as a conventional powder, removing any need for special application equipment.

Performance Summary

Tested under laboratory conditions in Neutral Salt Spray over blast cleaned steel, Interpon PZ Sytstem has excellent performance to 3000 hours and beyond in laboratory salt spray testing. In natural exposure tests (Swedish corrosion institute) good performance is achieved on scribed test panels with the system also providing excellent surface and edge protection - see data sheet for specific product details

Interpon PZ Primer can be used on steel substrates not suitable for blast cleaning, providing a good quality phosphate pretreatment is used - see data sheet for specific product details.

Benefits
