Resicoat RB for Reinforcing Steel
Corrosion of the reinforcing steel is the main problem in reinforced concrete construction. The primary causes are salts and atmospheric substances, especially road salts and sea salt on buildings close to the sea, or problems caused by acid.
If steel corrodes in reinforced concrete, then structures can become unsound and even collapse. Fortunately, our Resicoat RB 600 product range can protect reinforcing steel from corrosion typically caused by the above mentioned substances. Depending on the requirements the Resicoat RB range has a number of flexible and non-flexible coatings tested to ASTM A775 and approved by DOT’s in the USA.
