Epoxy-Polyester hybrids make an excellent choice for interior applications, combining outstanding mechanical properties from the epoxy resin with over bake resistance from the polyester component.
These coatings produce thin, smooth films with good flexibility and corrosion resistance. Compared to pure epoxies, Epoxy-Polyester hybrids have greater resistance to yellowing from over bake of UV exposure. However, they are not suitable for long-term outdoor applications.
Typical applications of Epoxy-Polyester (Hybrid) coatings:
- Office furniture
- Metal cabinetry
- Wire goods
- Power tools
- Interior lighting fixtures
- Household appliances
- Shelving & display racks
