City Hall

Home to Sunderland’s council for over 50 years, the City Hall elegantly stands in place of the old civic centre, embodying its rich heritage and celebrating its future vision. Comprising two state-of-the-art contemporary office blocks that are connected by a glass atrium, designers chose to unite past and present through the use of warm-toned Interpon D2525 Yazd Sable powder coatings for the cladding and mullions. The warm, glistening hues of Yazd Sable emphasize the grandeur of the hall and comfortably sit alongside the City Hall’s traditional sandstone. The superdurable Interpon D2525 range was chosen to deliver exceptional weather resistance with high gloss and color retention, helping to ensure Sunderland's City Hall continues to serve its community, just as it has been doing since 1970.
