Description
The winning choice for the new Richmond City Hall is a combination of granite and painted aluminium; the former on the plinth, where it can be seen and admired from the ground, and the later on the tower. The reflective surfaces of the metallic-painted aluminum panels surrounding the deeply recessed windows, together with the removal of the non-structural corner columns, dramatically emphasised the buildings striking grid like apperance.
