Electrical Panels and Power Distribution Units

Powering protection for electrical panels and distribution units

Electrical panels and power distribution units sit at the heart of critical infrastructure. They need to perform consistently, often in environments where moisture, chemicals, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stress are part of daily operation. When failure isn’t an option, the right coating system becomes a key part of long-term reliability. Interpon powder coatings are designed to protect the external surfaces of enclosures, delivering strong corrosion resistance, durability, and a finish that holds up over time. Inside the system, Resicoat epoxy coatings provide essential electrical insulation and protection for busbars and sensitive components. Together, they form a complete coating solution – engineered to support safety, extend service life, and keep electrical systems performing as they should, inside and out.

Leading benefits:

  • Proven protection systems: Interpon primers and topcoats deliver long-lasting corrosion resistance up to C5 environments with excellent cathodic protection and edge coverage, while Resicoat ensures electrical insulation and internal component protection.
  • Energy and process efficiency: Low cure Interpon Low-E systems and Resicoat LAT solutions reduce curing temperatures and time, helping lower energy use and increase production throughput.
  • Global consistency and support: Reliable product quality and expert technical support are delivered worldwide through a strong manufacturing and service network.
  • Design flexibility and finish quality: Wide ranges of finishes, gloss levels, and textures – including coarse textures – ensure consistent coverage even on complex or imperfect substrates.
  • Sustainable coating choice: Interpon powder coatings are free from solvents and VOCs, while also helping reduce waste during production. Their long-lasting performance lowers replacement frequency and associated carbon emissions, supported by product carbon footprint data.
  • Interpon Redox PZ

A zinc-rich primer delivering strong barrier protection and long-lasting cathodic protection on blasted steel. Suitable for both submerged and above-ground applications, with a smooth, high-quality finish.

  • Interpon Redox Plus

A pure epoxy primer for two-layer systems, used with powder or liquid topcoats to achieve corrosion protection up to C5 across a wide range of pre-treated metal substrates. Easy to apply, delivering a smooth, durable finish.

Resicoat EL

Resicoat EL provides electrical insulation for busbars and critical components, with UL 94 V-0, UL 746B, and UL 1446 (Class B and F) approvals. It offers strong resistance to heat, chemicals, and moisture, along with effective heat dissipation. This ensures reliable long-term performance under thermal and mechanical stress. A Low Application Temperature (LAT) version is available to reduce curing temperatures and energy use.
